It was believed that it would only be a matter of time before United made their move and signed Amrabat. As they already had plans in place for their departure.
However, as competition for the Moroccan player’s services increases, sources from Italy imply that Man United may have taken too long to get their finances in shape.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus intends to approach Fiorentina about signing their midfield playmaker.
The Bianconeri have been searching for a midfielder all summer long. Sergej Milinkovic Savic and Franck Kessie’s decision to play for the Saudi Pro League left them unhappy.
The only option left is Amrabat, and it is asserted that their positive relationship with La Viola offers them a significant advantage in negotiations.
Juventus has opened a line of communication between the two clubs by allowing Fiorentina to borrow former Liverpool midfielder Arthur on fair terms.
Fiorentina wants €25 million plus bonuses for Amrabat and is not willing to wait indefinitely while Manchester United raises money.
