PSG ultras threaten Juventus striker Vlahovic amid transfer links

Paris Saint-Germain ultras have issued a warning to Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic amid rumors linking him to the club. PSG is currently in search of a striker as Kylian Mbappe and Hugo Ekitike are set to depart this summer. Vlahovic is among the names on their shortlist. The 23-year-old Serbian player is on the way out of Turin after a disappointing spell with Juventus. Scoring only 23 goals in 63 appearances since his €80 million transfer from Fiorentina.

Last season, Vlahovic managed to net just ten goals in 22 Serie A appearances. Some argue that the system he played in limited his scoring opportunities. While others believe he is not up to the task. Juventus is keen to sell him and is requesting a fee close to what they initially paid for his transfer. While PSG has emerged as a potential suitor, their fans have already made their feelings known about the young center-forward.

During a game for Serbia, Vlahovic was seen showing three fingers, which is believed to be a reference to Serbian supremacy over Kosovo. This action has caused PSG ultras to hold up a banner with a warning: “If you come, we will cut three of your fingers.” Furthermore, Vlahovic has been photographed wearing a shirt that depicts Kosovo as part of Serbia, further fueling the ultras’ resentment.

PSG Ultras History of Opposing Incoming Signings

It is not uncommon for PSG ultras to express their disapproval of incoming signings. In the past, they displayed a banner stating that Lucas Hernandez was not welcome at the club due to his father’s association with PSG’s arch-rivals, Marseille. They also harbor animosity towards him for his involvement with Bayern Munich during their victory over PSG in the 2020 Champions League final. However, the club’s management did not share the same sentiment, signing Hernandez for approximately €45 million.

Whether PSG will sign Vlahovic from Juventus remains uncertain. While he is on their shortlist, he is not their top priority. PSG is still considering moves for players such as Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, or Randal Kolo Muani, and they will pursue Vlahovic only if they are unable to secure their preferred targets.
