The 20-year-old centre back signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea, bringing the story of Levi Colwill to a pretty good finish after all its ups and downs, loans, and DeZerbis.
Levi Colwill, who joined the club in 2011 at the under-9 level, has now committed his future to the Blues through the year 2029 with a brand-new six-year deal that includes a club-option for an additional year. Time to party!
- Levi Colwill has signed a six-year deal with Chelsea worth over £100k-a-week
- The 20-year-old is expected to get plenty of playing opportunities next season
- Brighton and Liverpool were keen to sign him, but he is staying at Chelsea

While this offer has been on the table for a few months. It was apparently Mauricio Pochettino who was able to give Colwill the final push and the ultimate persuasion. We’ve had to work very hard to keep Colwill out of Brighton & Hove Albion’s grasp. Throughout the preseason, Poch has consistently given Colwill regular playing time. Perhaps, this trend will continue even with the (anticipated) arrival of Axel Disasi.
Our centre back lines are stacked with extremely skilled, highly promising, and youthful players now that Colwill is restrained. Barring accidents or other mishaps, we should be good to go!
