Mayank Agarwal is a talented batsman who has been in good form in domestic cricket. He last played for Indian cricket team in March 2022. But he will have to wait his turn to return to the India cricket team.
Agarwal is happy with the way he is batting and is proud of his ability to score runs on tough tracks. He is also focused on winning the Duleep Trophy, which is just as important to him as achieving his personal targets.
Agarwal started the current season with two fifties for South Zone against North Zone in the Duleep Trophy semifinals. He is confident that he will be able to make a strong case for his return to the Indian team. If he continues to perform well.
Mayank said;
“On every given opportunity, I want to go out there, score runs and win games. Whatever has to come its way, it will come. I don’t look at it as pressure, as I look at it as opportunity. Like I said, wherever I play, whichever tournament I play I want to go and get runs. I am somebody who I can ask myself some tough questions over the years.”
Agarwal is one of the aspiring openers who might have been jolted by Rohit Sharma’s statement about the need for India to have a left-hander in their top-order. However, Agarwal is not one to give up easily. He is a hard worker and is always looking for ways to improve his game to his return to India cricket team.
Agarwal is confident that his time will come again. He is just waiting for his opportunity to prove himself on the international stage. In the meantime, he is focused on doing his best for South Zone in the Duleep Trophy.
Agarwal is a talented batsman with a lot of potential. He has the ability to score runs in all conditions, and he is a good fit for the Indian team. If he continues to perform well, he will be back in the national team soon.
